New TV Special Killing Bigfoot Premieres in October!

Bobby Hamilton and Jim Lansdale, founders of the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Organization (GCBRO) take their team and hit the woods in a bigfoot television special like no other. Their mission, to kill a bigfoot. The GCBRO is one of the oldest bigfoot groups around, and has always maintained a pro-kill agenda, and now they bring their efforts to the public in the new OLN special "Killing Bigfoot". The show premieres October 29th at 9pm ET on OLN Canada.

"One hour TV Special - an exPro wrestler and a Vietnam Vet are on the hunt for Bigfoot. Entering the forests at night the two men and a team of paramilitary men brandishing assault weapons are intent on killing Bigfoot.  They are determined to prove to the rest of the world and the scientific community that Bigfoot is real.  This puts them at odds with many in the Bigfoot Community who do not want to see one dead…and claim they have DNA which proves it is human and not a kind of ape. Killing one would therefore be murder. The Gulf Coast Bigfoot Organization (GCBRO) is a group of hardcore woodsman with military and security backgrounds who are dedicated to the task of bagging a Bigfoot.  They use military style stealth operations and hunt with assault weapons and live ammo. These are men of action, who are convinced that what they are seeing and experiencing is real.  They know that only a body of Bigfoot will convince authorities that the creature is really out there. Killing Bigfoot will capture the unusual lives of these men, on a quest to find and shoot the giant ape-like animal stalking the Gulf Coast area of the Southern United States."

"Background/Setup: In the forests and marshland of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana lurks a powerful ape-like creature that has been sighted by dozens of people. The Gulf Coast Bigfoot Organization (GCBRO) is a militia group of hardcore “woodsman” with military, security backgrounds who are dedicated to the task of bagging a Bigfoot. They feel, scientists will only accept the existence of the creature when they have a body lying in front of them. GCBRO use military-style stealth operations and hunt with assault weapons and live ammo. Their goal is to kill the creature which they believe is a nuisance and possible threat to the safety of innocent people. We will meet the various members of the GCBRO behind the Gillie suits and the camo as they come and go within this tight knit good ol’boys club.

According to the GCBRO, unlike the “familiar” gentle Sasquatch of the Pacific Northwest, the Gulf Coast Bigfoot is a ferocious killer. We witness first hand as local people call in sighting reports from across the territory of Nachitoches and Monroe County in northern Louisiana. There is plenty of opposition to the GCBRO’s position on Killing Bigfoot and these people reject the premise that Bigfoot is a ferocious killer. The GCBRO has been thrown out of conferences and threatened with bodily harm. We will see how far “anti-kill” groups will go to make their point that killing Bigfoot is an undesirable and unacceptable thing. They are extreme in the other direction and provide real conflict and humorous moments for our story.

KILLING BIGFOOT is about the lives of serious Southern Bigfoot hunters: we document the real exploits of the characters within GCBRO: their daily/nightly hunts, staking out sights, local investigations and surveillance, what drives them, hi-tech equipment, tackling the creature with guns & ammo, stealth techniques, close encounters and more. We’ll film the GCBRO as they follow up on sightings and requests by locals to come and protect them from these hairy creatures. These witnesses are genuinely terrified by what they have seen."

Bobby Hamilton (L) Jim Lansdale (R)

"We meet GCBRO co-founders, Bobby Hamilton and Jim Lansdale, who’ve hunted Bigfoot together since the 1990’s. Both Bobby and Jim had encounters with the creature…and have been determined to bag one and prove its existence ever since. We meet the team, Grumpy, Don Don, Rogan (Bird), Bear, Ken and Jim’s son Jake and Bobby’s daughter Brandy who hunt Bigfoot. GCBRO co-head, Jim Lansdale, an experienced Woodsman and Vietnam Veteran has had more than one close encounter with the creature…he and his son Jake saw it standing near their deer feeder at only 12 ft away, it turned and ran off on all fours–a Bigfoot sighting first. So what was it he saw? There are no bears in this Gulf Coast region. Jim and the team also collected Bigfoot blood samples, from a creature they wounded.

Jim tells us, samples were taken to a Geneticist who studied the DNA of the samples and determined it was blood from an unknown animal, but definitely not human.

Numerous tracks of the creature are discovered near their camp after a night of hunting…they cast the tracks and do a thorough search for more hard evidence. Other members have come across dead vermin and Don Don recalls a brutal kill site of a wild boar–not attributable to any large predators in the region. If there’s something out there, responsible for these killings, the fearless and formidable members of the GCBRO will track it down, tag it and bag it!

The GCBRO team travel to areas where Bigfoot has been sighted: to the forests and hunting leases in the backwoods of North West Louisiana. Jim Lansdale and his team know this area like the back of their hands. They investigate, along stream beds and in the thick backwoods, the areas where Bigfoot have been sighted for new clues of where to hunt the creature. Witnesses will provide new locations. The tracking of Bigfoot has become second nature to Jim who has spent many years in the back woods “Monster Hunting”…he and Jake clearly know this animal. The Southern Bigfoot is alive and well in this territory."

  1. You are going to attempt to commit murder on television? The fines you will pay and the jail time the offender/shooter gets will be so funny. Why don't you go out and shoot some other endangered species also. Mountain Gorillas etc. If you aren't going to eat it and it is not a threat...why kill it??? Makes no sense. For TV ratings?

  6. why kill it? just capture one, if you are all such 'men of action' you should be able to do that no sweat, right?

  7. If the Panda bear were a undiscovered creature would you still be in support of supporting/airing and killing such a thing. Yourselves and Canada OLN should be ashamed of even thinking about trying to do such a thing, but then then again we ALL know what the out come shall/will be "ZERO" anything for a few bucks some viewer ship and 10 minutes of fame. I can think of Many more ways to bring this elusive creature to light and most likely added viewer ship as well, bad choice of content.........

  8. We were put on this earth to be GOOD STEWARDS of it. Man is the most dangerous animal on this earth. You oakies from the pokies, are creeping around in the bush with your gehillie suits, pump shotguns and bravado, killing a creature that has been living here in peace. I hope you red necks shoot each other. I have personally notified the State authorities along the Gulf Coast of your actions. Hope you choke.

  9. i think these are potentially the most dangerous animal on the planet. With a twist of his hand your head is facing your ass. Stupidity rules when you go to attempt to kill one.

  10. Hmmm... Apparent Redneck/Hillbilly gun toters assisted by others of the same ilk, running around the woods of Louisiana and Texas, for a show on OLN... well, that cancels my tourism dollars to those states, and my viewership of the network. Vote with your wallets people, and let the advertisers and tourism councils know that you will spend your money elsewhere.

I will tune in just long enough to find out who sponsors this filth so that I can inform those advertisers that I shall never use their products again... People, ... wake up.. these are a form of people you are trying to murder.. there is hard science so stating.. not just from ONE study but from several...

  15. Killing a bigfoot is the same as killing a human. They are closely related to the human family. In Oregon it is against the law to shoot a bigfoot in several counties. Bigfoot has a language, bury their dead and in general are peaceful human beings, though more primitive then we are. It will be a crime if you shoot one.

  16. Well isn't that just like "man" ....kill something they don't understand. These creatures are not aggressive by nature why would anyone want to kill one? BTW, if I ever saw one I would not tell anyone, look what would happen...smah!!!

  17. This is an outrageous program! This program is promoting murder and should be removed from programming and any sites promoting it!

  19. If OLN Canada does decide to air this show then I can reliably predict that OLN will face a major boycott. Not only from myself, but the thousands upon thousands of people that view the murder of a BF beyond irrehensible and barbaric. The GCBRO, by announcing that they will kill a bigfoot for 'science', have sunken so low that most 'geniune' BF researchers consider them worse than scum. 'Genuine' Bigfoot researchers want nothing more than to protect bigfoots, not to see them murdered by these 'gun-toting' cowards.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I will boycott. You do not know what you are messing with....

    ReplyDelete
  21. There is dna evidence that bigfoot is a hominid similar the neanderthal. Are you willing to face murder charges?

Good luck asshole!

  24. So if you want to murder an indigenous people and you are the type of men that can kill humans/part humans why not go hunt in the Amazon like real men. Seems the US and Canada is a lot friendlier terrain and making the odds in your favor!!! This should be taken as a death threat to an indigenous people and I just might start a petition to the government to get this nonsense stopped and you all do some time for death threats to a protected indigenous people. You are all big and bad with your guns and ammo..... do NOT have the nads it takes to do what us researchers do going out there unarmed and befriending them instead of killing them. Pansies!!!!

  25. I ,among thousands of others, will not watch one second of this program. It is the most horrible idea I have ever heard of. I can only hope that the person involved in the murder of one of these PEOPLE will be fully prosecuted. I will not purchase any product from the sponsors of the show and will pass this on to all of those that I know to boycott your show and the products of your sponsors.

  26. Maybe Bigfoot does not want to be listed as real, for the simple reasons such as this. Killing of their species by naby, just as some have done of different civilizations. I am no-kill and do not feel those that kill, are even right in their heads to murder something that has lived here for thousands of years without interference from humans. Just because one not know or understand somethings, is it right to destroy something so unique? And if proven, where does each of our ancestors live within their families, seeings that Bigfoot has mated with humankind in the past. If you not think this, check with the history and stories of the Native Indigenous peoples of North America. Then tell me that those who hunt and kill these beings are no way related to these unique beings. Somewhere in the past whther thousands of years or recent the DNA is carried. Shakes my head at the ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If Bigfoot really does exist, it would be in our best interest to consider that it is an aware, sentient being that has been able to avoid modern human for an undefined amount of time....perhaps longer than we could imagine. This program idea is a reflection of the barbaric human condition and essentially a rendition of Lord of the Flies novel by W.Golding. It's psychologically not right. It shows how media manipulates and brainwashes. I does not engage people in educated, informed dialog. SMH #GoBigfoot

  32. Everyone, there is nothing to fear for these guys to track and hunt down a bigfoot. Main reason people cannot catch or kill a bigfoot is the paranormal-spiritual aspect of these entities that are far beyond our realm and intelligence They are directly related in mention of the Bible, and their purpose is to eventually cause harm and strife among human populations. Think of them as angelic missionaries of darkness increasing their numbers on earth, ready for the upcoming End Days, when the Bible specifically states that strange creatures of all shapes and sizes will be unleashed against man during the tribulation. They are not friendly forest folk, but entities full of evil and deception. They may act friendly and harmless, but satan is the master of deception, and so are his fallen angels.

  37. I love all of the comments on here. You guys have never met a single person on this show yet you call them ignorant. You sound just as ignorant as the people you claim they are. I guess it must be a southern stereotype, right? Seeing as most "reality" television today is about 99% acted out, do you guys really think the GCBRO went out and actually hunted a bigfoot? It's put on the air for entertainment and a different provides a different perspective of bigfoot research. Just enjoy the show, or don't watch. You call them scum, but you hope they shoot each other... you are the scum. Get over yourselves, and watch or don't watch the show.

    1. Actually, I am acquainted with three of these guys, having participated in the 2002 "hunt" down at "Monster Central". Jake is a good kid and unafraid of what's out there and would get into the thickets with us w/o a second thought. His old man never was more than a few feet from his truck as (IMO) he's afraid of the "monsters" and knows what might happen should they catch him in the right place. Hamilton is a good cheerleader. The rest of that bunch looks like the typical GCBRO fistshakers we had down there in '02 and would soil their pants if the real deal was upon them.

  38. It is senseless to harm a sasquatch! Would they want one of their family members murdered for proof of their existance? These are living breathing beings who feel and hurt like we do! All they want to do is live in peace. Why does man have to kill everything for the almighty dollar and "fame" by doing this horrendous thing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hmmmm, once again man is going to prove how ignorant he is by attempting an impossible feat. If Sasquatch not want you to see them, you won't. They are not animals so they will not act as animal, and they are somewhat more intelligent than humans, they have survived much better than humans also and done it without the human help. I do hope they pull this from broadcasting, because there has already been human life taken by some of these shows, done by humans, not the Sasquatch. Those who have not had an encounter, I can understand your delima, but can also understand ones who have had experience with Sasquatch too. I wonder the reasons behind the Sasquatch being aggressive toward humans , if it not caused by ones such as these. There has been DNA testing around the world in several countries already and even the governments know of these Sasquatch, though they wish for us to not know of this species, it would disrupt religious belief and create a sort of turmoil due to the idea of creation.

  40. I believe these beings have feelings, they take care of their young. It would be a sin to kill one just for ratings. Why couldn't you tranquilize one like a bear or other large animal and keep it sedated until all testing is done? Then release it back in it's home area. If a Sasquatch is creating havoc in an inhabited area, dart it and relocate it like they do bears, much better than killing one.
